The City of Franklin is accepting applications for a full-time police officer position and a part-time position. NLETC certification is preferred, but not mandatory. Requirements: Candidate must meet qualifications for the NLETC certification. You must be 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or GED and be of good moral character, with no felony or serious misdemeanor convictions. We are a small department with big community-oriented practices. Franklin Ne is located 14 miles west of Harlan County Reservoir 49 miles south of Kearney and 60 miles from Hastings Ne. Franklin provides the small-town living feel but is still close to larger communities and their amenities. Patrol cars are equipped with E-citation and MACH mapping. All equipment and uniforms provided. A take home vehicle is provided to the officer when living within the city limits of Franklin. We currently work a modified 12-hour shift rotation with every other weekend off. Pay is based on experience.
